More than ever there’s an urgency for the people who need real answers now for healing and recovery. A new way to rebuild that will protect the people from future disaster – I thought I would share our vision:
So many people are homeless, so many are conflict & climate refugees, so many exist in slums, so many are victims of natural disasters, wildfire, flood and earthquake – as we have seen again and again, now in Turkey/Syria. Hundreds of millions of people and millions upon millions of families who lost everything need a transition shelter – it’s a transition to a new way of life – a life of dignity, security and self-sufficiency that works off-grid.
If we solve transitional shelter for one family, we solve for a successful transition for all of humanity. We open the door to a future of abundance with human beings thriving together with the whole of Life. It’s the Sun Paradigm future – a vision encompassing a harmonious fusion of Technology and Nature, of digital and analog, of Yin & Yang, of built-environment and ecosystems, of the inner and outer spheres.
It’s transition to an Ecoliving lifestyle of plenty for all, that puts an end to scarcity, to fear of insufficiency, to hoarding, to excesses of consumption, to greed and the conditioning of poverty consciousness, which results in the syndrome of “you can never have too much!”. We can cut through these syndromes and experientially disprove each fear – resulting in relief from the stress and trauma of wrong-minded patterns of living that are summed up in the phrases like “the struggle to exist”, “the rat race”, “fighting the system” and our ongoing “battle with nature”.
In the PyraTENT everyone will immediately experience the reality of abundance of all essentials of human life support that is sufficient and inexhaustible within the immediate footprint of the Shelter – plenty of sunlight producing plenty of regenerative food, pure WATER-from-air and clean energy as well as comfort in any climate extreme. It’s also experienced as a safe space: “a small space to make the world a better place”!
As an advanced habitat, or multilevel vertical farm, the PyraPOD will be safe from extreme weather from hurricanes & tornadoes, even of the most damaging strength and protected from wildfires (from the flames, the heat and the smoke). Earthquakes will not kill people in homes adopting PyraPOD construction methods – we will so strengthen and dematerialize the construction of roofs floors and walls that the strength to weight ratio is so high that they cannot collapse on the occupants. With good common sense we protect ourselves from floods and landslides and other potential catastrophic events by choosing, with care, the places where we live. And our structures will do no harm to other life since their design eliminates any destructive impacts from our own physical footprint and presence – even in the midst of fragile ecosystems.
This is a shelter system that is urgently, and by some, desperately needed and it’s not our choice but it is our destiny to build them and this new architecture and built-environment will alter our own consciousness and evolve humanity to the next great plateau of excellence – uplifting all people to attain a climax of biodiversity and where we find our place as the nurturing Apex species – the vision is not a distracting utopian dream; it is and achievable Ecological Architecture providing a place for everyone and securing the “universal success of all of humanity” (Buckminster Fuller) and fulfilling prophecy of Nelson Mandela, who said this is the generation that will “make poverty history”.
