So embedded our culture,
so fixed our daily habits,
recognition of the depth of change required
seems ever more remote, unlikely,
in our encultured slavish attitudes.

Manifold palliative generosity is not in doubt,
yet curative potential and intention seems
too obscure to meet the urgency of closing
the obscene and exponentially increasing gap
between rich and poor, when both are required.

Both Palliative care and Structural Cure,
need to be operative every day,
one in attention to the dignity of all,
one as a demand for fundamental redesign
of production, exchange and distribution

of all our global household’s
valued goods and services,
gift’s of creation, fruit of the commons
entrusted for eternal replenishment in
a covenant of conscious human stewardship.

We call this
the People’s Political Economy of Regeneration
