BOLDLY TO BEHOLD
[before digging deeper into change]

Decide simply to ‘behold’,
finding awe and wonder everywhere.
Be present to what is, 
free of the filter of preferences
or falsely measuring by ‘importance’.

‘Behold’ opens up a broader, deeper,
wider field of perception, as
we find fresh ways of knowing, enjoying.
Yes, sensing whole-heartedly
that ‘the soul is not in the body,
the body is in the soul’ 
where ‘deep calls unto deep’,
and love becomes ubiquitous.

Then coming back to earth,
a new perspective flowering in mind,
we switch from soul to soil with fervour, 
knowing “Soil just might save us,
but we are going to have to save it first.”
Our very own nature has universal roots
that we must seek to cultivate 
cooperatively.
