To have the capacity to move the world,
we need a new ‘social distancing’,
detachment from diversions and delusions
of mass culture and our false self.
Contemplative reflection builds action
within the sound foundation of reality
— life as it is in its entire integrity —
without ideology, denial, or
the contemporary consumerist mood,
a dangerous, fantastic competitiveness.
Act contemplatively now, or know
“Last birds above our broken homes.”
Seek first the realm of nature’s integrity,
expressed by some, available to all,
to find therein your magnanimity,
inter-subjectively woven with that of
birds, bees and even fleas,
all living by the breath of trees
and plants watered from the clouds,
all nurtured naturally in ceaseless creativity.
