From Cajamarca to BarcelonaFrome to Monmouth – local people are sowing the seeds of future politics from outside of the current system, and building their power.

Annabelle and Peter Macfadyen will tell the story of Frome, where an increasingly emboldened community has developed a new relationship with local government to reject austerity and work towards reclaiming a positive politics.

We will also hear inspiring examples from beyond Frome’s green borders, discovering the reclamation of old parish councils, democratic movements to stop mega-mining projects, and more.

These are exciting approaches for uncertain times and we hope you can join us for a lively talk and discussion!
