Dear all, For the record I sent this package to John McDonnell before they produced their manifesto, to Lord Freud (who, with the help of Angela Donkin, we lobbied to no effect in 2014 about the impact of low income on health) and to the LibDems HQ through a local contact, and the Greens to Caroline Lucas office, who I have met. Please note the package includes the complete series of 10 blogs on Affordable Housing and the 9 on Health Equality. John McDonnell replied as below.
Best wishes, Paul
MCDONNELL, John
To me:
Thank you.

The lowest to middle incomes have been cut and their capacity to buy necessities diminished by ever rising housing costs.
- The UK Parliament is responsible for the growth in food banks and their inevitably inadequate provision of a healthy sustainable diet; with poor maternal nutrition adding to the risks of low birthweight and permanent developmental brain disorder in the womb and after birth.
- Poorer children with families are hit hardest by benefit/tax changes from 2010 to 2015.
- 7300 people admitted to hospital with malnutrition in 2015 up 50% since 2010(NHS).
- Deaths & infant deaths were up in 2015, a year in which life expectancy reduced after decades in which life expectancy has increased UK(ONS).
- Homeless up 54% since 2010 (Crisis). The upturn in suicides due to recession has not reversed now unemployment levels have fallen.
