Learning Together – to serve the public interest

Dear Associates, two matters to draw to your attention

Firstly:
The autumn edition of the Bible Society’s Journal The Bible in transmission – a forum for changing church and culture” has just hit my doormat. At a glance its subject of ‘Democracy and Populism’ is considered from a number of angles by different authors with a huge breadth of pertinent experience in faith as understood in the public realm.  Articles on line The Bible in Transmission – Autumn 2017 ‘Democracy and Populism’. It would be of enormous help to us all if anyone is able to review these articles and pick out points pertinent to the CCMJ’s Association in general; and in particular to the specific work of ICUK – ‘The Independent Constitutionalists UK’ on daring to think that we can ‘use the system, to become the system to change the system” and thereby generate commitment to the modelling of a genuine democracy.  Website: www.biblesociety.org.uk
