Mother Pelican
A Journal of Solidarity and Sustainability
Vol. 22, No. 10, October 2026
Evolution of Human Institutions

CONTEXT
Can we and our institutions adapt to the end of growth and the transition to de-growth and post-growth? This issue includes a link to a new update of the Limits to Growth global dynamics scenario.
CONTENTS
This edition includes several articles on critical issues of social and ecological justice, and links to significant recent publications and supplementary materials. The sequence of articles follows the see ~ judge ~ act pattern (with some overlaps). It is becoming increasingly clear that the forthcoming transition from growth to post-growth is not likely to be fair and peaceful if global population and consumption keep growing and the culture of power prevails. Can most humans adapt to supply constraints? Peacefully?
