As Extinction Rebellion bears its giant symbol entitled
‘COME TO THE TABLE’,
to challenge those in seats of over-whelming power,
my keyboard hovered over the table’s  construction……

COME TO THE COMMON TABLE
ATOP ITS PURE GAIAN LEGS
Leg 1. Prior Unity, fundamental symbol of original creativity.
Leg 2. Ubuntu, ‘we are’ to overcome rampant individualism. 
Leg 3. Recognised Wonders of ensuing infinite diversity.
Leg 4. Engagement mutually in pearls of wisdom shared.

There, seated side by side in a round of equal dignity,
seek humbly to compare all uses of language,
seeking diligently to fortify the Common Good.
Be alms-ed, yes alms-ed, with generously gifted insights,
on freely fair sharing earth’s life ensuring gifted wealth.
Express ideas briefly for serious consideration.
Weigh with open mind both clear or stumbling responses.
Seek positive creative tension where differences,
often creatively apposite, are seen as rigid rivalries, as opposites,
requiring someone’s victory and another’s ignominious defeat.
