| The latest from the Simpol Campaign. View this email in your browser Dear Simpol supporter, As we fast approach the end of 2020, we are reminded that the end of the year may not miraculously bring an end to all the confusion, disruption and despair. Events and experiences have been tinged with a surreal feel as people try to make sense in a world that seems incomprehensible, and news has become unreliable. But some things are unlikely to change. Writing this as Joe Biden was just announced the new US President-elect, it’s important to remember that he will also be subject to the same constraint of needing to keep the U.S. economy competitive. We may expect a change of style but not of substance. Reactions to 2020 covered the whole range from suspicion to denial to seeing it as an opportunity for change. The amount of online summits and conferences on healing, renewal and innovation is simply staggering! At Simpol it merely strengthened our conviction in the need for global cooperation and our commitment to a strategy that spans more than a calendar year. That said, the year is not over yet! Anything is still possible. If history has taught us anything, it’s that the future can’t be known until it happens. And we need to makeit happen! We have a few exciting developments to share with you: Launch of “Simpol Insights” – a series of video interviews with leading thinkers on civilisation design, collective intelligence and conscious evolution. Check out interviews with John Stewart, Prof. Ian Goldin, Elisabet Sahtouris and Simon Anholt already uploaded to our Youtube channel. Please like, subscribe, share and watch out for more fascinating interviews coming soon…The Simpol campaign has broken through in Denmark with the first Danish MPs signing the Pledge. More details on our Danish site Despite the obvious difficulties in making inroads into the U.S. political scene, Simpol-USA managed to get a number of candidates to sign the Pledge. More at https://us.simpol.org You can also read the essay by Lila Bosman, our South African National coordinater, where she muses on systemic change and our roles as gameplayers. The essay is aimed at newcomers to Simpol, but hopefully there will be take-aways for all supporters. Also, please connect with other supporters around the world by joining our FB community United Voices of Simpol and to spread the word. Lastly, Friday the 13th is World Kindness day. May we ask that you please share this, as an act of kindness, to us, and to the world.
