| Dear Associates in CCMJ, In my earlier [r]ecommendation of www.pelicanweb.org/solisustv16n09page24.html on A Path of Transformation from Patriarchal Ecology to Integral Ecology I had only read the early paragraphs, but reading on I was reminded of an exchange at the time that women were about to be ordained. someone asked a woman, respected by many for her basic wisdom, what she thought of the ordination of women. With a Humpf!, she replied ‘ Not sure I believe in the ordination of men.” There followed an influential discussion on the meaning of ‘The priesthood of all believers’ and how ministry influenced by Christain faith was to serve that fundamental aspiration!!!!. If you read the article, bear that anecdote in mind.. and then perhap you’d help me reconstruct the witty poem at the end to accommodate that basic sense that all ministry, formal or informal, is to enable ministry as a feature of God’s creativity to be felt and shared by all. Your response would be warmly welcome. Peter “Economy and Ecology are both derived from the same word “oikos” our home, both our planetary home as well as the particular places we call home. Yet what is called economy today is destroying our common home. |
