| View this email in your browser Dear Peter Help get YOUR candidates to sign the Simpol Pledge! Yes, I know, it’s yet another bl….y election which we could all well do without! But it’s also a great opportunity to push global issues up the political agenda and for Simpol to take advantage. Because, with elections these days being so unpredictable and politicians hunting for every last vote, now is the time for Simpol to make big gains in Parliament. Some candidates have already signed the Simpol Pledge. You can see whether yours are amongst them by going to our General Election 2019 page at https://uk.simpol.org/basics/general-election-2019 Here’s what you can do: Simply send an email, including your postcode, to us at info@simpol.org and we’ll send you a list of the candidates standing in your constituency and their email addresses along with a template message you can send to them. That way they’ll know that their electoral fortunes increasingly depend on them signing the Simpol pledge. With Parliament having recently declared a climate emergency, emailing your candidates also helps them realise that global issues are increasingly becoming a vital issue for voters. There are also other ways you can help: If you have some time and are good with social media, we need help publicising those candidates that sign the Pledge, so alerting more citizens to Simpol and the fantastic tool it represents.
