On October 30, 2025, the Tobin College of Business at St. John\u2019s University will host its Fall 2025 Henry George Lecture, featuring\u00a0Dr.\u00a0Willi Semmler<\/a>,\u00a0<\/a>professor of economics at The New School for Social Research and a leading scholar in macroeconomic dynamics, climate economics, and sustainable finance.
Dr. Semmler\u2019s lecture, titled\u00a0\u201cClimate Risks, Energy Transition, and Sustainable Finance \u2014 Is a Carbon Wealth Tax a Useful Instrument?<\/em>\u201d, will explore the intersections of climate change, financial systems, and global economic development.
The event will start at\u00a01:50 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in the Munson Lecture Hall\u00a0on St. John\u2019s University\u2019s\u00a0Queens campus.
